Our newest creation raises the question: How close could you get with CD recording to vinyl, which we believe is still the benchmark in sound reproduction. The answer is: Very close! Our target for the design of the DAC was clear: Longterm stressless and satisfying, joyful listening to CD – close the our analogue experience. To reach this goal, the entire signal tranmission is based on triode class A design. This involves HF-filtering, difference amplification and ouput buffering. Hence we are using at least 4 double triodes (selected ECC88) per channel. Our Pre-amplifier line LCPre follows a strict double mono concept with various extension modules available for phono and other functions. You can expect a high class tube design with ECC83 and ECC82 valves. All valves are hand selected and tested individually. Our devices are strictly `made in Germany´. They are produced in our manufacture in Wuppertal following a “build to order” principle which allows for individual customization if requested. Almost all components (i.e. transformers, housing, front panels and PCBs) are from German manufactures. Every unit undergoes an 24 hours stress test and a final fine-tuning before it is shipped. We are very proud of our power amplifier portfolio. For many years they have been well received in the industry. The focus is on puristic design, suberb technology with hand selected components “made in Germany”. Our power amplifiers in Mono technology offer a power spectrum starting with 12.5W triode class A up to 200W tetrode class AB2. It is possible to customise and change the operating mode at any time. Our power amplifiers are equiped with 807 radio tubes in the output stage and Noval double triodes (ECC801S and ECC82) in the input and driver stage. We only use foil condensators, to achieve longterm stability and highest possible sound quality. And the sound? To some degree different to other tube fired power amplifiers concepts. Instead of slightly and typical “warm”, soft and on the edges less controlled sound with a great picture of the stage, we find our “807 sound” almost non-existant: Our amplifiers are simply reproducing music. They cannot be compared with well known EL34 oder KT88 designs, but on the other hand they are not as “cool” and overly analytic as many transistor based amplifiers. We think what our LC807 series offers is a extremely fine and subtle reproduction of music with suberb timing and control. Hand made pieces of art with excellent components, from the selection of drivers to high end parts for the frequency network. The housing of our speakers is hand made. Customers can choose between a multitude of different finishing options: DIfferent wood veneers and lacquer. As option, our frequency networks, always equiped with custom made components, can be ordered in an extermal housing. This allows for actively driving every speaker with a separate amplifier. The tolerance between the channels is less then 0.1%. The top of the range model, Arabeske, is equiped with a 32cm Chitin bass with a 12kg magnet, a 17cm Chitin mid range speaker and Thiel ceramic tweeter. For the frequency range beyond 25Khz, we have developed a super tweeter, which transmits signals up to 110kHz. This represents a better performance for SACD material. Optionally the tweeter could be ordered as super high end diamond version. The base version is designed as passive system. This passive system could be upgraded with our active tube frequency network for active amplification. Our speakers are real time corrected systems, wich means, that a dirac impulse is almost 100% correctly transformed into an audio signal. Variants Arabeske – big 2 way system with integrated subwoofer, connecting at 65Hz. Characteristics: 32cm Chitin bass, 17cm mid range speaker and 2.5cm Thiel ceramic tweeter. The subwoofer is mounted on the side to allow for superior and lean exterior. Minara – the little sister of Arabeske (2-way system) with 17.5cm Chitin low/mid range chassis and 2.5 cm Thiel tweeter. Our EarMax headphone amplifier line features OTL class A triode technology for maximum listening performance for dynamic headphones. We apply a very minimalistic tube design with Noval double triodes in the input and power section (ECC81 and ECC88). Our EarMax amplifiers come with an external power supply. All tubes are hand selected and individually tested. Each unit undergoes a strict quality check and measurement, a 24 hours stress test and fine-tuning, prior to being shipped. The first EarMax generation started 15 years ago. Due to the overwhelmingly positive customer feedback we have gradually improved the product over time whilst maintaining the integrity of the original design. 2004 we launched our EarMax Anniversary line (limited edition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of EarMax) and 2005 we revealed the “silver edition” variant with increased output power. Variants EarMax Pro – for all dynamic headphones with impedance beyond 35 Ohm. For maximum performance we recommend headphones with 200-2000 Ohm impedance.
